I am negotiating the still and moving image components of my practice and how they are experienced within the 'white cube' gallery. Informed by Christopher Wool and Mark Bradford's work, my paintings explore the notion of 'originality' within the subject, in particular focusing on the constructed mark. Recent experimental video works magnify details usually ignored, referencing the passive nature with which moving image is so often consumed today as a result of its ubiquity.
